Testimonials, Robert Miller - Leadership Performance Coach

You are the Magic!

Whether you are in pursuit of your dreams or not. You are the magic!

If you knew you were good enough and deserved success – what could you achieve?

Over the last 17 years working with people, I have managed to see the treasure in them, see what they are capable of and to see them shine in a unique way that only they could.

I have seen brilliantly individuals who are highly skilled, are amazing and produce great results who think what they do as normal, as they have grown incrementally and live it on a daily basis.

It may be normal for them, but it doesn’t make it any less exceptional. They are amazing…

In New Zealand we have the tall poppy syndrome, we tend to play down our successes, we may even see people who don’t and come across confident as arrogant. I regularly see people deflect forms of recognition by “saying it was nothing” often looking awkward or embarrassed due to the attention.  This behaviour does nothing to build your sense of value, worth or confidence.

Humility is not thinking less of yourself, It’s thinking about yourself less. Real humility takes strength and requires courage to be genuine, vulnerable and embrace your humanity. It’s about time we take our fake masks off (making out we are something we are not), be human again and rest in who you are. You are one of a kind, valuable and unique!

Our value and worth can be shaped by our achievements and performance over time. I chased success and performance to feel significant, good enough and worthy enough at the direct expense of relationships, physical, spiritual and mental health. Ultimately, I just became a hard task master on myself which robbed me of joy and peace.

Here is what I found, we are significant, good enough and worthy of success, not because of what we achieve but because who we are created to be, knowing this brings freedom to be ourselves. Some of the very best leaders have got a good sense of personal identity and worth. They use their identity as a foundation to launch and perform from, being confident in their own abilities, in who they are, decisive and confident to boldly pursue their future.

Let me ask you these questions?

If you knew you were good enough and deserved success, if money wasn’t an issue, if you knew you couldn’t fail and you were 10 times bolder what would you achieve?

Here is the point.

You are good enough and deserve success and everything else can be worked through, so what are you waiting for?

Don’t wait to be great!
